I feel I am on the deck of the Titanic when you live in the mine. (get a pad on it, and more comfortable) I use Danish teak oil to preserve the wood. Periodically, I apply it with a cloth, rub and allow the wood to absorb. Not really worth it and is good. ❣ ❣ bought two of these hammocks and look great on the Lanai.
