How do I fix cat scratches in teak furniture? Filler pen did not work.? – February 8th, 2010

❣My cat scratched me comfortable teak. I tried one of those fill-pen, but it worked. How can I fix these claw marks?❣

    Try mixing teak oil with some kind of clear epoxy.
    That will fill the scratches and maintain the right color.

    Those filler pens are rubbish aren’t they? If it is a nice/valuable piece of furniture, you could get a restorer in to have a look at it.

    You can buy tubes or jars of a putty type substance which is a wood filler – it comes in a range of colours from pine to mahogany so you should find a shade that matches your furniture.

    My two love to scratch, my in-laws kindly bought us a tree stump which we put in the garden and the mogs batter each other as to who gets to use it first.
