Commerical furniture delivery – How do you send coffee tables by freight? – February 8th, 2010

❣I’m in the process of creating small businesses in the furniture and need to know how to go about sending coffee tables etc which are not packaged. I guess bubble items and then get a carrier like FedEx to pick them up. It’s so easy? Should I consider these items in the boxes. The coffee tables I’ve done would be sent lndividually customers. It is too expensive and that is really great. But Fedex, etc accept this type of furniture is crated. An is OK to send the bubble wrap alone, the best way to do this to ensure that data are not damaged? I would also like to send coffee tables, etc. to international customers.❣

DHL might be a better shipper for you. That’s what a lot of my Ebay friends use. http://www.dhl.com/splash.html They might let you bubble wrap the tops & legs, or use cardboard boxes with a cardboard insert to keep the box from getting punched in on the underside of the table.

Me and my wife had some furniture delivered from the pottery barn a few months ago. We had two nitestands, a big dresser and a head board and they basically put the two nitestands and dresser in big boxes reinforced with plywood strips and lots of stryrofoam, all kinds of it too. And all of our furniture was delivered flawless. not so much as a smuge. I can sort of see why the delivery charge was kind of steep.
